New Software Release: Amberg TSP Ease 3.0

WORLD NOVELTY IN AMBERG TSP EASE 3.0

Amberg TSP Ease 3.0 introduces a world novelty and a series of powerful new enhancements to our advanced tunnel seismic prediction solution.

This release streamlines the Acquisition wizard for smoother campaign setup and delivers substantial improvements in seismic data processing.

As a breakthrough, Version 3.0 establishes a direct link between seismic wave velocity analysis and practical rock classification—transforming geophysical predictions into actionable geological insight and enabling more reliable planning of rock support measures ahead of the tunnel face.

Quick Campaign Setup in Data Acquisition Wizard

Create quickly a new TSP campaign in your tunneling project. The one-page campaign layout guides you directly to the correct setup in a context-sensitive manner and omits unnecessary queries or displays during the rest of the data acquisition process.

Select your excavation and measurement type that guides you to the source type and recording method.
In a TBM excavation context with continuous measurements, Impact hammer is the right choice.

Context-Sensitive Data Processing Monitor

As in the Data Acquisition Wizard, the Processing Monitor in the office is automatically adjusted depending on the data acquisition type with TBM or conventional tunneling.

Here in the Prepare stage, you will find now the raw data of each shot series at each shot location, when using the Impact hammer.
An automatic Stacking of the shot series at each shot location preselects bad seismic traces before stacking. A new First Arrival Picking process successfully picks the first arrivals of even weaker hammer shot data automatically.

World Novelty: Seismic waves classify ground structure during tunnel excavation

The I-System or Index of Ground Structure is a newer, more comprehensive classification / characterization approach proposed by H. Bineshian to overcome some limitations of conventional ground classification systems. In this release, we enable a direct correlation of the seismic velocities determined from the TSP measurements with I-Classes and further support the timely selection of appropriate excavation and ground support strategies.

Once Amberg TSP Ease Processing has analyzed the seismic P- and S-wave velocities ahead of the tunnel face (A), the exploration area is immediately classified into I-Classes according to the type of rock present (B). At the same time, you will receive an assessment of the ground quality and risk level via the I-Classes (C).

Other Improvements and Bug Fixes
