Wuhan, 7 May 2025
Wuhan is centrally located in China and well connected through high-speed trains and airlines in all directions. Over 100 universities offer easy access to skilled talents, many of them in the technology fields of surveying and geophysics, data analysis, software and hardware development, and AI applications. Apart from that, Wuhan is a beautiful city, offering a lot of cultural highlights, partly from ancient times.
The new home of Amberg Technologies (Wuhan) is located in the East Lake High-tech Industrial Zone, better known as the "Optics Valley". The official inauguration took place on May 7, 2025, in the presence of high-ranking executives of the Wuhan Government, the Swiss Embassy in Beijing, Amberg Management, and Amberg’s closest business and tech partners. The celebration included speeches, a traditional lion dance, gift exchanges, and a networking reception with food and drinks.
The physical presence in China opens new doors for Amberg Technologies. Being close to our Rail, Tunneling, and Geophysics customers allows us to understand their needs and pain points faster than ever before. We will scale up local Sales, Support, R&D, and Application Engineering. Local manufacturing and sourcing will grow rapidly. Cooperation with Chinese tech firms and universities will become closer and more efficient.
"We came here to stay - and further grow, China for China" said Johannes Mueller, CEO of Amberg Technologies. "No more will we feel "homeless" while working in China. Our new home base in Wuhan will give us lots of joy, energy, and additional self-confidence."
Mrs. Junyu Mao, Managing Director China at Amberg Technologies, added, "Now we are no longer an exporting company, but an international enterprise with a strong foothold in one of the most strategic markets. Together with our team, we will bring our company to the next level!"
